The Canadian Prairies to Minnesota
We left Radium Hot Springs and took off east for the Canadian Prairies. Steve suggested we take the south route, to Cranbrook, Highway 3 to Fernie, Crowsnest Pass, Franklin Slide, Fort MacLeod, and on to Medicine Hat where we stayed for the night. Along the way we saw the worlds biggest dump truck in Sparwood and the tallest teepee in Medicine Hat. Along the way, we toured Head Smashed In Buffalo Jump, a UNESCO site. A very interesting place! http://www.history.alberta.ca/headsmashedin/
The next day we continued across the prairie to Moose Jaw where we stayed for the night. We toured the downtown tunnels used by the Chinese and later for liquor during the US prohibition. We also met with Marj and Len, Airstream friends who shared some wonderful homemade goodies with us.

More prairie was still ahead! We drove next to a KOA just outside Winnipeg for the night and on to John and Teri’s house on Crookneck Lake.

Very interesting! That Head smashed in…..thanks, Paula
