March Trip To Arizona – Sedona

From Cave Creek, we went north to Sedona, higher and colder but it was beautiful. They have been having snow and rain but the weather cooperated for our time there. We visited Jot and Linda in their beautiful new home. They are friends from the Central Coast California Airstream Unit, who recently moved to Sedona from California. Although we’ve stayed in Sedona several other times, we found some beautiful new hikes in the hills above the city. It has rained a lot this winter at home, I’m not really complaining because we need the rain, but the nice weather in Arizona was a welcome change and we missed 5 inches of rain in SLO while we were traveling.

March Trip To Arizona – Phoenix & Cave Creek

The next stop was a visit with Judy’s brother Ron in Phoenix where we stayed at the  El Mirage RV Resort again. Judy’s niece Pam and her husband Scott were staying at Ron’s house so it was good to touch bases with everyone.

Cave Creek Regional County Park, near Carefree, north of Scottsdale, was next. The campground was beautiful, large spaces in the Saguaros, and great hiking. It was the first time we stayed at Cave Creek, but we’ll go there again. Pam, Scott, and Jenny came to our camp one afternoon for a hike in the desert.
